Limps off against Lazio

Leris recorded three crosses (one accurate), three interceptions and three tackles before exiting Saturday's contest versus Lazio after 71 minutes because of an ankle injury, Sky Italy reported.

Analysis: Leris put his energy to good use on both ends of the pitch again, but was forced off after properly turning his ankle on a tackle. He has been one of the few decent Pisa performers despite the relegation, notching two goals and three assists in 34 showings (21 starts), adding 27 key passes, 98 crosses (32 accurate) and 67 tackles.

Lively display against Lecce

Leris (knee) had two shots (zero on target), three crosses (one accurate) and two corners and created one scoring chance in Saturday's 1-0 loss to Parma.

Analysis: Leris got the call over Idrissa Toure after missing one match because of a knee ailment and was pretty active on the offensive end. He has registered at least one cross in his last four showings, totaling 12 deliveries (two accurate) and posting two off-target shots and two corners over that span. Additionally, this marked his third consecutive display with one key pass. On the other hand, he ended a four-game streak with multiple tackles.

Makes starting XI

Leris (knee) is in the starting XI for Saturday's clash against Parma.

Analysis: Leris recovered from the minor knee injury that had seen him scratched from the squad ahead of the Genoa fixture, with his return to training in the days since paving the way for an immediate recall to the starting lineup. The midfielder had started six consecutive matches before the setback, and his return spares the coaching staff from having to rely on Idrissa Toure on the wing once again. He had recorded 14 tackles, two key passes, nine crosses and five clearances during his six-match starting run, making his return a welcome boost for the side.

Slight doubt for Parma match

Leris was a late scratch for the Genoa game because of a minor knee injury, but has been spotted in training afterward and should be good to go for Saturday, according to Sesta Porta.

Analysis: Leris had made the initial squad list last week but ended up on the stands, with Idrissa Toure taking his place on the wing, and Ebenezer Akinsamiro and Felipe Loyola benefitting from the situation in other roles. He should at least be an option for this one. He had started six fixtures in a row before the hiccup, recording multiple tackles in the last four, totaling 14 (five won) and adding two key passes, nine crosses (one accurate) and five clearances during that stretch.
